Happy New 2014 to all vistiors and music lovers!!!The new year has started with some nice news. Thanks to Gonzo Circus, Ecila's "Beyond The Echoes" was presented on the "Mind The Gap" #106 compilation as the 2d track. "The Sofa Managements" album was released on Icarus Records & Vinylla Vinyl in May 2013. New music is coming in 2014!

Ecila is immers het pseudoniem van de Wit-Russische, maar in België verblijvende Sveta Shljachova. Die is al ruim vijftien jaar actief binnen de elektronische muziek, doorgaans met partner Nikita Chudjakov. Samen stonden ze aan we wieg van het politiek gechargeerde breakcore/dubstep-project STREFF en het meer IDM-georiënteerde Elements of Sci-Fi. Shljachova was ook lid van het Kosmozo-project dat in het elektronische circuit succes had en bracht in 2012 een album (Stories) uit onder de naam Alice In Kosmoland.

The Sofa Managements was released on vinyl (limited edition, 200 copies) on Icarus Records/Vynilla Vinyl 24.05.2013. The album includes both crackling electronica as well as vastly ambient atmospheres. An angelic quote by Jewish philosopher Moses Maimonides illustrates best where Ecila got her inpiration from:

The Icarus team in collaboration with Democrazy brings another big name in the electronic music to Ghent : Raime ( GB ) + Ecila (BE).

Originating from Belarus, Ecila (Sveta Shljachova) has been residing for many years in Belgium. Involved for the last 15 year in different musical projects with life-long partner Nikita Chudjakov, they founded the breakcore-oriented STREFF and Elements Of Sci-fi amongst others. Last year saw the release of 'Stories', under her alias Alice in Kosmoland. Ecila will be presenting her debutalbum 'The Sofa Managements' at the forthcoming Icarus Night with Raime (24th of May) in Ghent's arthouse cinema Studio Skoop. The album includes both crackling electronica as a vast ambient atmosphere.
